Steal Ideas From This Bold & Colorful Main Floor

Step inside this sophisticated family home designed by Heather Lewis and Rania Ismail of Fohr Design Studio. See how rich hits of color, luxurious texture and restored vintage pieces transform the new-build main floor into a glamorous oasis in the city. Inspired by the clients’ love of blue, the designers added dramatic navy walls in the formal seating area, robin’s egg blue cabinets in the kitchen and blue grasscloth wallpaper in the front entrance. Plus, opulent accessories like music instruments, old-fashioned concert posters and brass hardware add plenty of personality to the space.

  1. Lovely, except for the instruments being stored out in the open like that! That's not good for the instruments. I realize that they are beautiful, but they should be respected so that they are not damaged and can be played again.

  2. "Great job" doesn't begin to describe how stunning these spaces are. . . So pls accept my heart-felt praise for a job well done.

  3. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽ladies, you did a magnificent job with this home. I love the blue color palette throughout the home with the pops of color. The robin’s egg paint color on the kitchen cabinets is divine. I really love the architectural element of the room divider between the kitchen and family room…unique and whimsical. Great job again ladies!

  4. Really unsensational use of grey and blue, totally minimized any sense of character. The designers should practice not speaking with a question mark at the end of their statements.
